I appologize for posting this in the 27-31 forum, as there is no 25' forum.
Has anyone owned or spent much time on one of these? I walked around one (the centerconsole version). I am looking to purchase this or the open model.
There are only a few for sale. Looks like thay are hard to come by. The one I am looking at is in Maryland and I dont want to make the trip for a sea trial.
It has twin gasoline engines. If I were to get a gasoline I prefer the single 454,so that when its time to replace, I will drop in a turbo diesel.I have seen them in 1993 and 1994 yr models.I beleive those are the only years produced.
Any feedback honest or negative would be great.

The current top speed is 29 Knots and Cruise is 20 to 22 knots, this is after consulting with Luhrs when changing props and went from a left hand screw to right hand. No the boat does not bang it has a very nice soft entry. Luhrs made the boat with a single diesel and a friend of mine and past dealer for Luhrs has one - he won't sell it. I don't have a Fuel flow meter so I cant be too specific, but at cruise it is around 12 to 14 gal/hr. I never have checked it at top speed.

We too are looking at a 1993 25 CC. It is powered by twin 170 yanmars, they say it will cruse around 25 knows at 12 GPH? What do you guys think? Also how is the ride our current boat (28 Rampage...Slampage) and has a bit of a rough ride, will this boat be any better?

Thanks for the help.

NIck

I have a 1994 25 Open with single 454. I have not ridden in the Rampage, but the 25 rides just like the 32 Open in rough water. It takes more than you can.

I have the 250 Open with twin gas power and I love it. The outside plugs on each motor are a challenge. But, otherwise not that bad for maintenance. Rides like a dream in calm and rough water. It runs at a respectable pace, unless you are looking for lots of speed, (if you are like me "its not a race"). And, it raises FISH!

Good Luck with your decision.

I own a T-250 CC with the twin diesels and she is my favorite boat i have ever been on for a boat her size. She takes the waves great, totally dry until about 5 or 6 footers! I have twin 170 yanmars and cruise 600 off the top at 22 or so knots. Best boat I have owned!:001_cool:

You should be able to tab out of this issue, singles do this at higher RPMs are you engines counter rotating are your tabs working properly, these 250 are very reponsive to your tabs, also check water tanks and fuel tanks for equalization once on plane she will list to a heavy side look how she sits at rest, hopfully level you mite even have to much tab try no tab and if she still list tab that side only good luck, I love my 250
