I am working with a fabricator to add a swim platform to the back of my 29ft Tournament Open. It is obviously in a boat yard on stands as the moment so we are unable to acquire a key measurement related to the vessels orientation fully loaded in the water.
The fabricator is asking what is the orientation in degrees that the vessel is designed to sit at level at the rear waterline when fully loaded, at rest.
We believe it would be only a few degrees from level, but need to know so that the platform isn’t too high above the water or too low and creates drag behind the vessel underway.
We are assuming that we can use the boot stripe as a rough guide, but wanted to get the manufacture’s feedback prior to mounting it late this week or early next.
