Need Refrige / freezer help [Archive]

Hi Everyone,
I need to replace the refrige / freezer in my 1992 38 open. Sub Zero doesnt make that unit anymore. Does anyone know a mfg. that makes something to fit in that space? Second issue. The last owner left water in the fresh water tank and it went bad. All I get is white clumps of junk at the pump filter. I've tried bleach and rinsing a bunch of times but its not working. Can this be fixed or do I need to replace the tank?

disconnect the filter and pump, hook up a wet dry vac and purge the tank, flush it out a few times with this same method...

cut an access port in the top of the water tank so you can reach in and scrub and wet vac it....

Just replaced mine in my 98 Open and it is Novacool. They are a great Canadian company,. I delt with Joe their FL distributor and they were terrific.

We had the side by side ref/freezer. About $1800 PLUS freight. If interested I can give you the direct email and contact information.

Mike it was a spot on fit. If you have the side by side set up.

I do not know them as here in SC I delt with their FL. Good folks and a great help.

Unit in now since April and is absolutely wonderful. You will have to be careful with refrigerator setting as it will also freeze if too low.
