Fishing out of SW Louisiana, aboard 32 Open "Reel Deel".
Trip 41 miles out in rough 3' to 5' seas. Stuck it out, as we are hard headed.
Hit my "Honey Hole" with plenty of fish. No problem in getting 2 snappers per person.

Weather settled down around 11:00 am with high pressure on top of us. Returned in 2' seas, wind out of south for nice ride and Jimmy Buffett on the box.

Passed up grass rip on way in, as crew was "done for the day".
Stopped by wild life officials 30 miles out to examine or 8 red snapper box. (4 fishermen @ 2 fish each) Man, we are really impacting the stock. Meanwhile, shrimp boats trolling all over the place discard millions of snapper and other fingerlings daily. Makes real since in conservation!!!

In any regards, had a good time and that is what it is about.

Good Fishing!!

Linda:
They are red snapper!!
Average size for the area I fish. Can catch some nice ones in the 15 to 20 lb. range at times. Usually, they all average the same size. Fishing bottom structure and not oil rigs. The oil rigs have a tendency top produce a lot of small snapper.
I love to catch those rascals!!
