I'm Steve "Sir Black Fox" Kimball and I'm a pirate. (I also feel like I'm at some sort of online AA meeting now).

I just purchased a 1974 Luhrs 320 (32') from a friend of mine for a tiny amount considering the engines were rebuilt recently. He's looking for all the previous owner paperwork for me and info about the boat so that I can get well aquainted with her. From what he knows, the boat won a few Marlin contests out of Ocean City, MD and was used mostly as a pleasure craft, hopping from port pub to port pub.

I bought her in order to create a state-of-the-art showplace for entertaining guests of my company, The Pyrates Way magazine (http://www.pyratesway.com). With a fresh paint scheme and major overhauls of her innards, I hope to have her finished in a year or so. I'm taking my time during this period of economic decline (magazines have not faired to well) and have her ready to show for the next economic upswing.

This is my first craft. . . and I'm in love with her already.

Hi Steve,

I just acquired a '73 Luhrs Flybridge, twin 318's. I'm a member of Robbins Reef Yacht Club in Bayonne, NJ and keep the boat there.

My family has owned boats, but this is my first.

Engines run good, so looking to rebuild:
- killing lower station
- replacing plumbing and wiring
- sligh remodel inside (over time)

Stringers are rotted, so I'm gonna do what's needed to get her in the water by August, then decide from there whether or not it will be worth the effort. Something tells me it will be.

Anyway, I'm no expert (I would categorize myself as beginner), and it sounds like you are doing something similar with your boat, so maybe we can keep in touch and share what we know.

I don't spend alot of time on these websites but do answer my e-mail more regularly "jamesehickey@optonline.net"

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Jim
