Hello everyone. I am a new Luhrs owner; just purchased a 2002 Luhrs 34 Convertible with twin Yanmar 350 diesels. Still in dry dock in the upper Keys getting bottom painted, etc. Hope to take it to her new home at Black Point Park and Marina in Homestead on or about January 23rd.

Will be mostly boating in the Miami area and the Keys; however, I hope to get over to the Bahamas several times a year. Would love to get to know some other Luhrs owners to share info and tips with.

Look forward to being part of the Luhrs family...

Welcome Capt. Sal. Hope you enjoy your Luhrs as much as we have enjoyed our two.

Captain Sal:
Glad to have you aboard. I have a 32 Open here in southwest Louisiana. Fishing is pretty far offshore but very good. Wish I was in the "close" pretty blue water as you guys, as well as, runs to the Keys and Bahamas.

Love the Florida keys, as I have beeen a regular lobster "hell diver" for the last 20 years. I cannot make the opening date of August 6 this year, as my wife insists on another vacation for my 40th anniversary at August 9th. Funny about those women in such things.

Good luck with the vessel. There are some really helpful guys on this chat room. Post your catches for all to see.

Hey, welcome and congrats on the boat.
I am in Marathon and love the close gulfstream and variety of fish readily available.
The Bahmas are close as are the dry Tortugas.

Hello Captain Sal,
Welcome to the family, I run a 342 out of Ft. Myers, will be leaving for the keys within 2 weeks. We will be running out of marathon until the first storm scares us home, hopefully not until October. Congratulations on your new vessel and good luck. Maybe we'll catch you out there.

I am out of deering bay just to the north of you. I was in black point for two years the channel is very long and lets just say I got tired of replacing electronics from all the breakins. we have several open slips at deering if you end up having problems in black point. If you can try to get on (A) dock they seem to have the least problems forget about C and D it is just to far away from the office

We fish every sunday on my 36 open the connie marie you can hit us up on vhf ch 80
