Looking to trade my 28 open and buy a 2008 31 open with the IPS power system. What do you think? Thanks

Have you test drove the IPS yet? I have heard it's fantastic. Test drive it, if you like the drive and the layout plus have the $, go for it!

Make sure you get a comparable price from another dealer. I purchased my last two boats from Clarks Landing in Pt. Pleasant, NJ. Great dealer. NY Boat Show may offer up a good deal as well.

Did you buy the 31 IPS? I am the dealer for New England and New York. Great Bay dropped the brand. We sold out of IPS boats last year. We have a 2007 31 OPen and have acces to 31 IPS. Thanks Dave McShane

I own a 2006 38 with IPS. This was the first IPS boat built by Luhrs.
The handling and economy are amazing.
I would highly recommend the joy stick if the boat you are looking at does not have one.
I have had issues with the boat and the power but both Luhrs and Volvo have stepped up and made things right.

Thanks for all the input. I almost made the deal but the dealer backed out. I decided to stay with my 28 open. I have heard good things about the IPS.
