Need to replace fuel tank on this boat , has anyone done this before on this model ? My est. is $9600. It breaks down to $4000.for fiberglass work . $2685. for the new tank ( from Atlantic Coastal Welding ). $2900 to install new tank with new hoses . Does this sound right ? Is replacing fuel tanks common in this age of a boat ? What should I be looking for during the process since it will be done in stages and want to go over what was done . Is there temperture restraints when working with fiberglass ? The boat will be outside during this work , foresee any problems ?:blink:

Sounds about right... the glass should be proper temp... Mid 60's at least I believe. Some times you can mix a "Hott" batch by using extra hardener. This may make things brittle. :dunno:In colder weather I have had resin not kick off till the next morning... pending on the app. a fine mist of hardener may work for uncured resin???
