Can anyone tell me ... how will i know when im not on plane anymore but on hull speed? with a 89 luhrs 40 with 454 crusaders 350HP... I am trying to find out when the boat goes from hull speed to plane or the other way around I would like to run the RPMs as low as posible but on plane and not on hull speed Thanx

You will no longer have a stern wave when your hull comes off plane. Look just off of your stern, if the water is not going under the stern and creating a little mini wave behind your boat you are not on plane.
