Has anyone added a Trim tab indicator? I have a 32 Luhrs Open (2000 year).
not sure what brand they are but I am guessing they are factory installed.
Any tips on how to do it?

My 1996 has Lenco, if the tabs are electric that is probably who makes them.
A simple solution may be to change the trim tab switch to a lighted version that shows the tab position.
Check out your manufacturers site for switch options,

John,
Where is the 'brand' visible? There is hydrolic pump driven by an electric mother in the aft bildge. Is this the same as yours?

lencos are electric. there is no pump/resevoir. if you have the pump/resevoir you have Bennett tabs. I actually thought all came OEM with Bennett. I have never seen a 32 with lencos...

any of the Bennett indicators or controls will be compatible. it is a pretty easy plug and play to retrofit their stuff right at the dash.

I had a 1997 32 open with Lennco tabs. But Irish is right Lennco are electric and you probably have Bennett. Plug and Play.

Great - thanks for the info. I will check out Bennett's web site and see what is available to put in switches with indicators.

I have a 32' Open 1998 and it had Bennett's from the factory. I just added an LED indicatior at the helm, piece of cake. Call Bennett and ask them for advice, there is not a better company out there at taking care of their customers, I wouldn't have anything else. They are EXCELLENT!! BTW, the indicator is very helpful.

The guys are correct, Lenco's are electric and you most likely have Bennett's.
I just had my 2006 38 converted to hydralic Bennett's with lighted controls that show the location of the tabs.
They seem to be working well.

I just heard about an automatic trim tab control that automates the process of trimming out the boat. Any thoughts?

Just had the Bennett auto system put on the 2006 38.
I have not had a chance to work it, been kinda rough in the Keys.
I'll let you know.
