Luhrs 32 - Discontinued?

I was just on Luhrs' web site and noticed the 32 Luhrs Open is no longer listed under the Models. Has anyone else heard that Luhrs would be stopping production of this popular model?

Luhrs has discontinued the production of the 32 Open. While it had a successful run, it was time to move on. We are now concentrating on the 31 IPS in that size range.

In my view, the 31 IPS, as nice as it may be, would not be a replacement in my mind to the layout and size of the 32 open. Loosing over 1 foot on the beam, smaller cabin, a lot less seating capacity, loss of the center helm design would make me look elsewhere.

I am sure it runs great, has some good features, but it isn't a great replacement for the 32 open.

I probably could have worded my response better... The 31 IPS is not a direct replacement for the 32. There are a decent number of 32's available at Luhrs dealers and with demand for that particular model tailing-off, it didn't make sense to continue stuffing them in to dealer inventories.

I imagine that Luhrs' departure from the 32,33,34 range will not last too long.

I guess we will wait and see what new shows up in the lineup. I would suspect most new models will be IPS?

I just purchased a 32 Open (my first Luhrs) just about 2 months ago. My family absolutly loves the boat.

I feel silly asking this but Luhrs makes a 37??? I have seen the 35, I own a 36 and I know they make the 38 and the 41... but a 37? Which one is that?

Never mind... my bad, went to the Luhrs website, had not been there for a while, wow, no more 36... but they sure do make a 37!

Sorry for the lag in replies. We are busy getting ready for Fort Lauderdale. Luhrs will debut two new 37 Open's at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. One will be equipped with Volvo IPS and the other with Triple Yamaha 350 Outboards.

It is an exciting time for Luhrs We look forward to seeing everyone in Fort Lauderdale!

Is the 37 going to be at the NY boat show in December.

Why is the total HP for outboards @1050 and total for IPS is 870? That is almost a 200hp difference. Why not go with a pair of 500hp inboards to match the power total of the outboards?

It is a brand new model that will be offered with IPS and or outboards.
It is a beamy boat, I think 14 feet.
It has a forward berth and a center berth with an optional 2nd head.
The extra space is due to the IPS and outboard options.
