Going to have the boat surveyed this monday . Anything I should pay close attention to ? Does this year have any problems associated with it ? 500hrs on starboard(repaced) 1100 on portside . New manifolds and risers on both in 2007 . Negioated price to $33,500. New eisenglass on bridge . I'm coming from a 1991 310searay sundancer . This (luhrs) should fit my needs more since I have 2 kids and a wife , trying to spend some long weekends on it and of course go fishing with the guys . Anybody have this year and model that can give me any advice, I'll take it all . Thanks.

Would suggest that you look closely to see if your hull (under the waterline) is cored or solid. Luhrs stopped coring their hull under the water line somewhere around the late '80s or early 90's. Coring under the waterline just makes moisture intrusion more of a concern.
Good luck with your new purchase.

Esquire is right. I think that model may have balsa core hull buttom. Easy to check. If there is a seam at the middle of the buttom of the hull it is a cored buttom. If the FRP laminate is punctured by a log etc, water will enter the cored hull and it will turn to mush. Thats why Luhrs does not use that process anymore. Also that hull is very shallow. Makes for good fuel economy, but poor ride and sea keeping.
