Hello all, I am looking at buying a 1995 320 tournament with Marine power 454's with about 1250 hrs on them. I am going to look at the boat this weekend, just looking for some feedback as to what I should be concerned about i.e. any known problem areas with this make of boat. Thanks in advance I really like the boat and hope it works out.

apart from the hours on the gas motors, look at the following -

1. cockpit stress cracks around steps, sdie storage steps, transom door
2. condition of bilge - this will tell you alot of about the level of maintenence on the boat
3. check brackets holding the gas struts on the engine hatch for deck splitting
4. check all stringers carefully - transverse stringers known to crack at connection to main stringers - relative easy repair but access is difficult
5. get a good survey. there are alot of systems on a 32' boat and if they havent been serviced/replaced over the years, you are looking at thousands of dollars of repairs/replacement over the next few years.

good luck!

I am also looking at a 95 32ft tournament and wondered what you had found on the boat you were considering.

Grady and Flyboy. Do yourselves a big favor and purchase David Pascoes book "Mid Size Power Boats'. You will be glad you did. You can order it on his website www.yachtsurvey.com and you can also read some very good articles on his website for free, but the book has alot more information. It will teach you how to weed out the good boats from the bad ones and save you alot of money on surveys. It covers everything A to Z. Good Luck
