2003 32 Open

Just purchased a 2003 32 Open with 330 Cummins. Drove her down from Pt Pleasant to Cape May. Nice Ride.

Congradulations on your new purchase. I am in the process of purchasing a 2000 320 open. How did the boat perform with the 330hp's? How was your fuel economy. The boat I am in the process of buying has Cat's with 300hp.

The 330's performed well full tank of fuel and 2 people on board, ran at 2400 rpm and was moving around 25 knots. The ocean was calm, seas 2ft or less. I did not fill up yet, but I am guessing I will be getting somewhere in the ballpark of 1 mpg. I have a friend with a 1999 32 open with cats that gets around 1 mpg with similar cruise numbers.

I hope I have the same economy. I am going to be running the boat up from Maryland to Point Pleasant....
