Wondering what is the current price for your offroad diesel on the east coast?
Yesterday, I traveled to the Talen's fuel dock which services many offshore crew boats and vessels (tremendous volume of fuel) here in south Louisiana, to fuel my 32 ft. Open.
Price was a wopping $4.26/gallon. WOW!!
I paid $3.75/gallon for the "onroad" gasoline in town for my vehicle.
Does any person out there know the reason why the "offroad" diesel is now higher than the "onroad" gasoline which has at least a $0.40/gallon tax?
Until last summer, the "offroad" diesel was cheaper than the taxed "onroad" gasoline by $.30/gallon (plus). This made since due to the taxing, as well as, the cheaper processing of the diesel fuel. Diesel fuel was always the cheaper fuel in the process stage.
I know who is getting the "shaft", I just would like to know the expalnation for the "shaft job".
Red snapper season begins 06-01-08 with another great 2 fish per person limit. Will target other species on the 60 mile plus excursions.
