There is an option for the bait freezer on the 36-Open. It takes away some of the space but it does work well.

On the other hand. We have never offered an ice maker on the 36 due to location. If someone has done it. Please let us know for possible options.

Does luhrs sell the bait freezer ready to be installed after the boat has been manufactured like a plug and play unit or do I have to get a outside company to manufacture one for me

We do sell the freezer but it not a plug and play. The wires are not pre-ran to that area to hook right up to the freezer. I would probably be the best idea to have an outside contractor do it. They will not what breaker size and wire size etc. to use.

Does the freezer that they sell drop into the port storage or does cutting need to be done to get it in or is it done with chiller plates?

The compressor is mounted under the port seat right in front of the box and there are cold plates in the box. Also need to cut in ventilation in the under seat box for the compressor. My boat came with it installed from the factory - mine works great. Hope this helps
