Caliente,
Welcome to the board...I'm located on Kent Island Md, not to far geographically.
We have a 94 T350 Diesels and have fished often out of Indian River with the charter guys (Capt Ike), great location. Are you at the state Marina? What engines in your boat? I'm hoping to take the journey from Ches to IR this summer, but we will have to see what fuel prices look like first !

Hey Kevin,
My boat is powered with twin 385HP Crusader 7.4L HO MPI's.
It will pass anything but a gas dock.I have made that Kent Is. to Indian River trip before. It took about 8.5 hours with a stop for lunch in the canal.
I haven't checked gas prices at the dock yet this season.

Welcome Caliente,
Hope you enjoy this forum as much as i do. It is still building, with new members everyday. ALways some good info and conversation. I'm based out of Ft. Myers, Florida. Used to fish east coast, fl keys, and gulf of mexico, but with fuel prices not sure we'll be able to fish the canal back of he house, lol. We have 89' 342, great vessel. Good fishing and boating.

Caliente,
Understand the issue with not being able to pass a gas dock. I just re-powered over the winter from 454 Carbs to Diesels (Cummins RECONS). So now, Diesel is higher than Gas prices...who knows!:dunno:. We're not gonna let it stop us though, just will carefully plan our trips....I'll let you know if we make the journey to the coast..got a buddy that lives in Lewes.
If you ever plan to be in the Kent Island Area PM me.
