I wanted to complement LUHRS. We have been owners since 1993 when my Dad purchased a 1989 32 Tournament....the first of the newer Carolina flared luhrs, built in Kettle Creek, NJ. That boat had a tabbing problem that was discovered during the survey...all tabbing had broken free. One of the Luhrs family came up from Florida and looked at the boat, said it was a "dry-tab" production problem and re-tabbed the entire hull...no charge:001_cool:. Then they guaranteed it for as long as we owned her...in writing!! After that sort of Customer Service, it saved the deal and we have been owners ever since.

In 1996 the opportunity arose for my parents to purchase a 1990 Tournament 380. I loved this boat the first time I saw the model released. What a dream. Time marched on and my parents decided to get out of the sportfishing style and move to a pilothouse boat and I purchased their boat from them in 2001.

Now mine for 7 years, I continue to love this boat and while she's a little slow by current sportfish standards, she can run with anyone in big seas and she's a real fish raiser.

My real compliment comes from an experience my parents had this past week. My parents, now retired, were in the St. Augustine area last week and I suggested to my Dad he should stop into the factory......cold. They had never been there before. Well, LUHRS went out of their way to accommodate my parents with a full factory tour....Way to go. You guys are top notch with customer service!!!!
