38" Open door lock

Has anybody had to replace the small barrel lock on the door that accesses the salon from the cockpit? The door manufacturer, Viplex, is out of business. I talked with Marshall at Luhrs, but he does not know where to get a replacement.

Viplex was acquired by spartech which as many of us know succumbed to the economy in 2009 (at least the marine division did). rumor has it that teak isle manufacturing may have picked up some of spartech's tooling and hardware stock....it is probably worth checking....post up again on your findings.

you also may want to check flounder pounder marine....they have a website but you should call...they have millions of OEM parts....

I found the company that Luhrs used for the sliding door lock on my Open 38. It is CCL Security products, cclsecurity.com , and here is the page from the site that deals with sliding door locks:
