I just bought a Luhrs 30 Alura classic and want to install a through hull sonar fish finder. How thick is the hull? Also what location is best Midship?

I have a 35. The hull is a little better than inch thick midship. I had a 1kw transducer w/fairing block installed directly under the helm.
