Hello

I'm in the process of buying a 1972 32 foot fly bridge Luhrs with twin 318's. I'm 79 years old and have been around boats most of my life but this is my first experience with Chryslers and Luhrs
I like several things about this boat, such as the space and accommodations. The price of $6000 is also attractive. I took it for a sea trial today and I have a ferw questions:

- The engines were rebuilt in 1999 and seem satisfactory. However, the boat will not plane which may be normal for these engines and the weight of the boat. Maximum rpm is around 3000.

- Are there any "common areas of concern", such as wood rot inside the stringers or interior framing, any blister problems, any items of high maintainence ( repacking/adjusting the stuffing boxes looks difficult for an old guy like me that doesn't bend too well anymore).

I will have the boat surveyed before purchasing, but any comments or suggestions you have at this time would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.

Sincerely, Jim Shear
