Hello,
I have a 1995 290 open, will a windshield off a 2002 290 open fit my boat?
thanks.......

I looked at doing a windshield for my 25 but the alum. supports get in the way. There is a company that makes a glass center section that I have seen on a few. A good friend has a 32 with a center section made from Starboard with glass and it works well also. I ended up by putting a small zippered opening for ventilation when I didn't want to take the whole front section off in rough weather.
Good question

thanks for the reply,
I have seen those inserts, that would work for me but I think the whole windshield would look sharp. The supports I could find a spot for if the windshield came from luhrs. It doesnt appear that molds have changed between the 1995 and 2002 I havent looked at a 2002 up close but from what a have seen online they look the same minus a windshield on the 1995. I was hoping it would bolt on.

No mold did not change as far as the deck during the years. So if you ordered a windshield, it should fit. If you call the parts department at Luhrs 1-904-827-2030. Marshall could get you the phone number of the vendor we used to make those for us. We do not have any in stock anymore. Be prepared though. It may be quite a wait to get one made.

If you look at the pictures i have on new/used luhrs one of the people in my marina did it to a 1996 32 open. I talked to him about it and the tower strutts need a little work but it did work out and looks great...good luck he bought his window on e-bay for 1,000.00 it was new ....

The 32-Open is a different window than the 29-Open. Just have to be careful that you get the right one. They were hard to modify back then for the 29's.
Good Luck
