I also believe the rudders should be straight. I had one that was bent and I took it to a prop shop. They straightened it for about $60.00. The hardest part was getting it out. I had to dig a hole in the gravel at the yard to get enough clearance to drop the rudder. I would get them straightened.

Maldo, I have a 1992 32' convertible and I have had the boat out on the hard 2 times, the first time was to among other things to resleeve the rudder post because on of them was leaking water into the boat. Those rudders should not be bent

maldo, I have a 1995 32, my rudders are straight. I don't think they should be bent backwards. Mark

It sounds as though the boat may have been run hard aground at some point - the rudders stuck in the mud and helped stop the forward motion resulting in the bend.

it seems very strange that running aground would bend the rudders back without also taking out the struts and shafts and props...how much are they bent??? pics???
