:dunno:Hey all,
The hottest part of summer is almost over here in Alabama and I am looking to start work on my favorite project again (the Valhalla). And I am looking into buying 2 new carbs. It's a 1963 32' Luhrs and I am looking for some technical help. The engines are the original chrysler LM318-225hp (port-LM318RXLX serial #105716 and Strbd-LM318BXRS serial #104928) Right now one is a Carter and can't get any replacment parts for it because this particular model rebuild kit is not in existence anymore. The other engine has an Edlebrock which has given me problems from go. Both Carbs are mechanical since the engines pre-date computers. I want to buy 2 new mechanical carbs that are from the same manufacturer. Fuel economy is more important than raw power since I only go cruising. However, the boat does weigh 14,000 pounds (so it does need some power to get moving unlike the paperlight boats of today). I am leaning toward Holley but am not committed yet. Does anyone know which carb will be best for my situation and possibly a manufactures product number so I can order them here shortly.
Thank you for your help,
Matt (Vahalla)
