I have a 320 Open and am looking for replacement foam strips that go around the motor hatch. Have tried hardware stores, but can not find the width, thickness and density of what was originally on the boat. Any suggestions???

Give Marshall a call. He should be able to get you what you need. (904-827-2030)

I also need the hatch weather seal. Luhrs sells it for 1.74 per linear foot.
Call their parts dept - part #1009202

actually they will send you to Spartech Marine at 321-636-7562 ask for ben marks. they provide all replacement hardware for the flush mount forward hatches. we replaced and the latches, strikers, gas struts, and weatherstripping on all forward hatches. not cheap but they look great now and no more leaking from collapsed bulb seals.!

I now have a roll of engine hatch weather strip. There backing is a bit sticky but I was advised by luhrs to add an additional contact cement. Anyone replace these yet and if so, what glue did you use if any?
Thanks - Justin

I used the 3M industral weather strip adhesive. I also got the gasket at a NAPA store as well as the adhesive.

did the gasket material from NAPA match up in terms of width and height? What type of material is it?

for those looking for the engine hatch seal/insulation - Marshall at Luhrs parts sent me to mcmaster-carr (website) part # 93625K51 - Adhesive-Back Elastic Natural Gum Foam Strip 7/16" Thick, 1-1/2" Width, 50' Length, Black (Same as 93625K151) price $47.
it looks like an exact match. although it has PSA on the back side, i would add some 3M 90 hi strength spray adhesive (aerosol can available at hd/lowes).

I was in the engine room and had the hatch lowered and I could not believe the fit between hatch and deck around the steps area.
We took some Rubatex AC copper line insulation split it and then glued it to the lower deck "edge" part, not the hatch and doubled it in the 45 degree portion near the steps as there was a 1-2 inch gap in that area.
The engine has been muffled quite a bit.
We also removed the hatch under the stairs in the salon area and placed some weather stripping between the door and the case. We actually had to reset the door out a little to allow for the stripping. This also has made the Salon area quieter. Next is to fill in the gap between the case and the firewall/bulkhead as there is a 3/4 gap around the entire door.
